Structure and management of businesses

The decision on what type of trading entity to use for a business can be influenced by a variety of factors. These include for example: investment issues, liability issues and tax reasons. It is prudent to have obtained accounting, tax and legal advice before proceeding.

Although GMC does not form companies, GMC can refer its clients to accountants that deal with company formation and GMC can assist with on-going management of whatever type of business our client decides upon, including advising on regulatory matters such as governance, compliance and data protection.

Shareholders’ agreements and other investment agreements.

Shareholders’ agreements are agreements that seek to document and regulate the arrangements between investors in a particular company.

As such they are critical agreements which require careful, professionally advised consideration of the relevant tax, accounting and legal issues at the outset of any negotiations regarding any shareholder agreement or other investment agreements.
